Trash folder does not update the number of emails to be read after emptying

Description

The Trash folder does not update the number of emails to be read after emptying

Steps to reproduce:

  • set some emails (ex. 5) in the trash folder as "to read"

  • to the right of the folder the number of emails to be read appears in bold (5)

  • empty the entire trash folder: right click > empty

 Expected behaviour:

  • the number of emails to be read disappears beside the folder

Actual behaviour:

  • the number of e-mails to be read (5) remains set beside the folder

In order to arrange it is necessary to select reload tree.

As at the moment the default behaviour is to not show any unseen on special folders, as a first step this issue will be addressed to not update any number when unseen are changed in special folders.

A new enhancement issue will be opened to address the new behaviour to be inplemented.

It's a major change, which will change the behaviour abrupltly, showing unseen messages in folders that never did.
This may be confusing the user.
Maybe we should implement this with a setting controlling the behaviour (old style / new style) so that we can see the result on our reall installations (Sonicle and Nethesis) and later decide if to activate it or not.

Yes it is true  ... I confirm this behavior on these special folders at startup after login.
I think it's better to change this behavior too by excluding the Trash folder.

It never did on these folders, just check at startup after login, these folders never show the unseen number.
Only if you change the state of an email it will update its number.
Try yourself.

Never showing the number of emails to be read can only fit the Trash folder.

For the other special folders (Spam, Sent and Drafts) I think it is always useful to show the number of emails to read and keep it updated automatically.
